Okay, so here is what I use:

A mages' hit cap is 17%. With these talents, you have 6% chance to hit on all arcane spells, which you will be using virtually all the . You will need to get 11% through gear UNLESS there is: Feral druid; Draenei; Shadow Priest. As these all provide aditional 1% chance to hit.
For rotations I find: [AB -> Missiles proc -> ABr -> repeat] is the best for complete nuke. Using arcane power, trinket, mirror images and Icy veins at this . I usually full nuke after the tank has got enough aggro on the boss. This means I may have for a second nuke near the end on some longer fights

For glyphs I use :
Glyph of Arcane Missles. Increases critical strike bonus on Arcane Missiles by 25%
Glyph of Arcane Blast. Increases damage from your arcane blast buff by 3%
Glyph of Mana Gem. Increases amount recieved when using a Mana Gem by 40% <--- Highly recommend.
I use Molten Armor on short boss fights for the extra crit%. However on longer fights like Kel' Thuzad I use Mage armor so I have more mana to play with.
